Kaitoki TrekThe Kaitoki Tree Planting Trek is Native Nature Tours premier guided nature trek. This trek is packed with eco and cultural tourism experiences, commencing with a traditional welcome at our family marae.

Our trek then leads us past some of the wahi tapu (sacred sites) on our organic farm.  We will share with you the history to these local landmarks and allow plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. We then make our way to the foothills of Mt Kiekie and into the temperate rainforest of Kaitoki reserve.

Enjoy your natural surrounds on a guided trek

Upon entry into our rain forest reserve, you will be spellbound by the ancient podocarp trees providing a canopy for a pristine native forest. Share with us intimate knowledge regarding medicinal compounds and traditional foods from our native plants.

Lunch will be served at the Kaitoki bush camp. While lunch is settling, an opportunity is available to explore the immediate surrounds of the camp or relax in the tranquil atmosphere. Toilet facilities are available on site.
